I love having.....
a love-song on my lips,
the sun over my shoulders,
the sand under my feet,
a carefree spirit that I'm proud of,
a mind cleansed of sorrows,
a heart filled with hopes,
a dream that guides me through
the pathways of life,
and
in my eyes the horizon
that stretches far and wide.
You know, I am looking ahead,
or, it's better to say, I'm trying to.
I'm trying hard to break free from the shackles
of the mutilated memories,
and maimed episodes
of mirth......
they are yet to be a part of
some long-forgotten past,
I am struggling
to reside in the cusp of
past & present,
I am trying hard,
believe me,
I am looking ahead.
